Here are a few ways we suggest using our freeze-dried blueberries!

SMOOTHIE BOOSTER

Add them directly to smoothies; they rehydrate quickly in liquid and add natural sweetness.

BAKING INGREDIENT

Mix into muffin, pancake, or bread batter for bursts of blueberry flavor without the added moisture.

TRAIL MIX OR SNACK MIX

Combine them with nuts, seeds, and other dried fruits for a portable snack.

TOPPING FOR YOGURT OR CEREAL

Sprinkle them on yogurt, oatmeal, or cereal for extra crunch and a tangy-sweet flavor boost.

INFUSED SYRUPS AND SAUCES

Soak them in water or juice, then blend to create blueberry syrup for pancakes, waffles, or desserts.

SALAD GARNISH

Add them to salads; their natural sweetness complements savory ingredients like goat cheese, nuts, and arugula.

BLUEBERRY POWDER

Blend freeze-dried blueberries into a fine powder and add it to drinks, lattes, or even ice cream.

About Clean Food Farm

Approximately 37 years ago, Clean Food Farm’s founder, Larry Bailey, completed his agriculture studies at Washington State University, gaining expertise in conventional agricultural practices and connecting with peers preparing to inherit family farms and orchards. Without a family farm to return to, he spent the next 22 years consulting for food processors and working with large-scale agricultural operations. In 2008, a transformative “organic nirvana” moment led him to establish Clean Food Farm, dedicated to organic farming practices.

In 2012, Clean Food Farm acquired a 10.25-acre property of prime farmland in Orting, WA. The farm follows a rotational grazing model that integrates two pasture-raised cows and 400 free-range laying hens in a leader-follower system. Additionally, Clean Food Farm has established 3,900 blueberry bushes, implementing a trellis and drip irrigation system and upgrading the well to optimize water management. The blueberry crop was projected to begin producing in 2021.

Clean Food Farm markets its products directly to the local community through a year-round farmers market. Committed to promoting health through nutrition, the farm donates a portion of its produce to a local food bank, aiming to make organic, nutrient-dense food accessible to individuals and families under financial stress. Clean Food Farm believes this contribution provides an opportunity for food bank clients to experience the benefits of healthy eating as a step toward improved well-being.
